Construction Revenue Benchmarks
Construction trades are counted by the work they perform rather than by the buildings they end up in, so a general remodeler who subcontracts most of a job and the specialty contractor who performs it are separate Census categories. Each benchmark below reports the average annual receipts of one employer establishment in its own category, which for some trades includes material and equipment resold inside the contract.
